Diaries included in the papers are typescript copies of volumes kept by Alexander Masterton, Sr., 1847-1856, with short entries on work, travel, social life, business matters, quarry affairs, and other daily activities; volumes kept by his son Alexander Masterton, Jr., 1884-1898, concerning his daily activities and business affairs; and volumes kept by his grandson Elias Warner Dusenberry (1861-1947), 1934-1940, concerning his daily activities and business affairs. Other papers include deeds, bills, receipts, letters, wills, inventories, genealogy, and articles, 1835-1986, concerning the Masterton family and their house on White Plains Road in Bronxville. Persons represented include Euphenes Morison Masterton, wife of Alexander, Sr., Alexander Masterton, Jr., Avis Seaman Masterton (Mrs. Robert M.), Elias Dusenberry, and Elias Warner Dusenberry.
